Overview
Submagic is a tool for processing short vertical video. The self-description on the home page: "Submagic makes your short-form videos captivating with AI captions, b-rolls, and smart edits. Save time and grow your social media reach effortlessly". This is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment; the promise of reach growth we quote as a quotation, not as a verified result.
The subject of the work is named precisely: captions, cutaways and automatic editing for short clips. Besides processing, the tool also has a publishing scheduler — that is dealt with below.
Many language versions of the site are declared. The hreflang markup on the home page declares ar, bg, cs, da, de, el, en, es, fr, hi, hu, it and seven more. The language of the home page itself is en. The qualification "seven more" is our own count of the remaining links in the markup, not a number named by the tool.
The address submagic.co/api was found on the home page, the page opens, but it contains no signs of developer documentation. It does not follow from this that there is no developer interface — only that at this address no signs of one are visible.
Which platforms it works with
The answer depends on which page of the tool you read, and the contradiction here is not a small one.
The scheduler page offers a choice of publishing platform: "Select TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or all of them". Three platforms — and right there a list of what is marked "Coming soon": LinkedIn Post Scheduler, Facebook Video Scheduler, X/Twitter Video Scheduler. In other words, the tool names LinkedIn, Facebook and X itself, but as a promise, not as a working capability.
The integrations page, meanwhile, contains not a single social network. It lists Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Drive and Gumloop — automation and storage services. That is, in one place on the site publishing to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube is declared directly, while in another section, the one usually responsible for connections, there are no social networks at all. Both pages were checked on the same day.
How you earn with it
The affiliate programme is announced: the Submagic Affiliate Program, with the partner portal at affiliate.submagic.co (programme page).
The commission is 30% recurring for every client you bring in, for life: "30% recurring commission for every new customer you refer, for a lifetime". The credits run for as long as the client keeps paying; the page names no term after which payouts stop.
The payout threshold is 50 USD of accumulated commissions. They pay on the 7th of each month, and crediting takes 3–5 working days. There is a single payout method — PayPal; the tool names no others.
The circle of participants is described as follows: authors, influencers, coaches, copywriters. It is not only a click-through on a link that counts — a purchase with a promo code and no click-through is credited as well. Paid advertising, however, is forbidden: if it is used, the commission is not paid.
The lifetime of the click tag is not named on the page — with counting by promo code that partly loses its significance, but for ordinary links it remains unknown. There is no separate document with the programme's terms: no link to one stands on the page.
What it will not do
Submagic does have confirmed refusals, and it is better to know about them in advance.
The tool does not support publishing to LinkedIn, Facebook and X at present: all three schedulers are marked by the tool itself as "coming soon". The list of publishing platforms is limited to three — TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
In the affiliate programme they will not pay for traffic from paid advertising: the prohibition is named directly, and a breach costs the commission. Nor will they pay out less than 50 USD — up to that threshold the money accumulates on the balance. Withdrawal by anything other than PayPal is not possible: the tool names no other methods.
The tool does not publish prices, the composition of plans, terms of a free plan or a trial period, limits on the duration and number of clips, on the size of uploaded files or on the number of publications per day; the lifetime of the affiliate tag is not named. Nor is the main contradiction explained: the scheduler page declares publishing to three social networks, while the integrations page mentions none.
