Smartly
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Smartly is a tool for managing advertising campaigns across several advertising systems at once. The self-description, word for word: "Smartly powers better ai advertising. Fuel better cross platform advertising performance with ai marketing tool, Smartly. Launch, manage, and update campaigns" (homepage). That is the tool's own claim about itself, not an independent assessment; the word "better" is repeated in it twice and is never once backed by a measurement.
The main thing for making a choice here is that this is an advertising instrument, not one for running accounts. The description gives the set of work as the tool itself states it: launching, running and updating campaigns. Publishing ordinary posts, a feed calendar and replying to comments are not claimed in the sources we checked.
The interface language of the homepage is en, taken from the markup attribute; no language versions are declared in hreflang.
Which platforms it works with
The platforms page names ten: Amazon, Google, Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, Roku, Snapchat, Spotify, TikTok, YouTube.
This is a list of advertising platforms, and it must not be read as a list of social networks. Amazon and Spotify are commerce and music, Roku is television set-top boxes, Google is search and display advertising. The line "Meta" is worth noting separately: that is the name of a company, not of a particular network, and it does not follow from it which of its products exactly — Facebook, Instagram, something else — are supported and to what extent. The tool does not separate them, and we will not separate them on its behalf.
The same page names the placement categories: Social Media, Conversational Commerce, Connected TV, Open Web, Video. In the Connected TV category it says "200+ streaming services" — but with no list. There is a number, there is no list, and checking which services exactly stand behind it is impossible from our sources.
What is available for each platform — which formats, which rights are needed, how access to the advertising account is arranged — the source does not disclose.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is not announced. The addresses /affiliate, /affiliates, /affiliate-program, /referral, /partner-program return 404.
The partners page exists, but it is a Partner Marketplace — a catalogue of channel, technology and service partners. There is no commission for a referred customer on it, no rates and no thresholds. A catalogue of partner companies and a programme with payouts are different things, and one should not be substituted for the other.
What it will not do
It does not promise to run ordinary publishing: what is claimed is the launch and running of advertising campaigns, and that is different work. A feed scheduler, a post calendar and work with comments are not in the sources we checked.
Nor does it let you say which Meta products exactly are supported: the list carries the name of a company, not of a network.
Nor does it let you find out what is hidden behind the "200+ streaming services" in the Connected TV category — the number is announced, the list is not.
Answering how much it costs is impossible from the sources we checked. For an enterprise-level tool the price is usually discussed separately, but that is not a fact: we simply have no record.
It does not offer to pay you for a referred customer: the partner catalogue announces no commissions.
