Later
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Later is a scheduler of posts for social networks with auto-publication and analytics. The interface language of the homepage is English; the site does not declare hreflang and contains no language switcher.
The tool has no integrations section — the list of platforms is gathered in the plan comparison table.
Which platforms it works with
The "Social Platforms" row on the pricing page lists eight platforms: "Later supports Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat".
The auto-publication list is shorter. The "Auto Publish Posts" row names six items: Instagram (business profiles or creator accounts), TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest and LinkedIn. YouTube and Snapchat are supported but are not included in auto-publication.
Instagram. The page about Instagram promises auto-publication of single photos, carousels (photo and video), video and Stories: "will publish to Instagram without any more work on your side". There are on the page neither requirements as to the account type nor a mention of a link with a Facebook Page. The question "what is the difference between auto-publication and publication by notification" is in the FAQ, but the answer describes only auto-publication: when the second is needed is not said.
TikTok. Auto-publication on a schedule, including bulk scheduling and publication at a given date and time (page about TikTok). A link in the TikTok bio is available when there are more than 1000 followers: "As long as you have over 1,000 followers on TikTok" — the threshold is set by the platform. The requirements as to the account type are not stated on the page.
LinkedIn. Both types are supported, but with different features: text and images go both to a profile and to a page, while video goes only to company pages (page about LinkedIn). The publication is automatic: "Posts will publish automatically to your profile or Company Page — no notifications required".
YouTube. The page about YouTube is devoted entirely to Shorts: 19 mentions of Shorts, long video is not mentioned. Declared are bulk scheduling of Shorts, auto-publication without notifications, and when scheduling you set the title, the description, the keywords and the notification of subscribers.
Pricing
There are three plans (pricing page): Starter at 18.75, Growth at 37.50 and Scale at 82.50 USD a month with annual payment. The minimum price is 18.75 USD a month; by default the page shows prices with annual payment.
The charging is per "social set" and per user. A set is eight profiles. Included: Starter — 1 set (8 profiles), Growth — 2 (16), Scale — 6 (48).
With annual payment the tool promises three months free. The trial period is 14 days.
What is free
There is no free plan — it is not listed on the pricing page. Free of charge only the trial period of 14 days is available.
Restrictions
All the restrictions below are set by the plan, not by the platform (pricing page).
The number of scheduled posts. Starter — up to 30 per profile, Growth — up to 180 per profile, Scale — without a limit. The limit is counted per profile, not per account: with eight profiles Starter gives 30 posts to each.
The depth of storage of the metrics. Starter — up to 3 months, Growth — up to 1 year, Scale — up to 2 years. This is a restriction not on an action but on the depth of the past: comparing year with year on the lower plan is impossible in principle.
Notional units for work with AI. Starter — 5 a month, Growth — 50, Scale — 100. The page does not explain how many units one action costs, so these numbers cannot be converted into an amount of work.
The daily limit of Instagram publications is not mentioned on the tool's page.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is announced: the Later Affiliate Program, with a dashboard on PartnerStack (page of the programme). The rate is worded as "earning 30% (or higher!) commission for every sale"; the upper rate and the conditions for obtaining it are not disclosed.
Who is admitted: small business owners, creators and influencers with an engaged audience; admission is by application, taking part is free, there are no limits on earnings.
What it will not do
It will not publish automatically to YouTube and Snapchat: both platforms are in the general list, but they are not in the auto-publication row.
It will not send video to a personal LinkedIn profile — video goes only to company pages.
It will not let you buy what is missing on the lower plan: additional sets of profiles, users and AI units cannot be bought on Starter, the page states outright that they are unavailable. Usually the limit is lifted by paying extra; here the only path is moving to the next plan.
It will not show statistics deeper than the plan allows: on Starter — three months, and the accumulated data beyond that window are unavailable.
The restrictions on adding sounds in TikTok and on tags in LinkedIn are set at the level of the platforms themselves.
The affiliate programme has no separate terms page; whether the payouts recur, the lifetime of the click tag, the payout threshold and the payment methods are not disclosed.

Platforms
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat
The «Social Platforms» row of the plan comparison: «Later supports Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat». This closes an earlier gap: the fact later/no_candidates_found of 2026-07-28 noted that the home page has no list

Instagram business profiles or creator accounts, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, and LinkedIn
The «Auto Publish Posts» row. Auto-publishing is NARROWER than the general list: YouTube and Snapchat are not part of it, even though the platforms are supported

Limits and restrictions
the number of scheduled posts is capped by the plan: Starter — up to 30 per profile, Growth — up to 180 per profile, Scale — unlimited
The limit is counted PER PROFILE, not per account: with eight profiles Starter gives 30 posts to each of them
source, checked 2026-07-28
how far back metrics are kept is set by the plan: Starter — up to 3 months, Growth — up to 1 year, Scale — up to 2 years
The limit is not on an action but on HOW FAR BACK you can look: on the entry plan a year-on-year comparison is simply impossible
source, checked 2026-07-28
on the entry plan extra profile sets, users and AI credits CANNOT BE BOUGHT: the page states outright that they are unavailable
Usually a limit can be lifted by paying more; here the only route is moving up to the next plan
source, checked 2026-07-28
credits for AI features: Starter — 5 per month, Growth — 50, Scale — 100
The page does not explain how many credits one action costs — the same gap as with vidIQ
