Teachable
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
Teachable describes itself like this: "Join 150,000+ creators & businesses using the top online course platform to sell courses, coaching, and digital products. Start for free" (homepage). This is a self-description: the figure "150,000+", the assessment "top online course platform" and the promise "start for free" are all the tool's claims about itself. The word "free" stands in the tool's own description, but the pages give no details of the free start.
The tool's work is selling courses, coaching and digital products. For social networks it is not an instrument for running feeds but a place the audience is brought to from them.
The interface language of the homepage is en. The markup declares no other language versions.
The site is prepared to be read by programs: at llms.txt there is a machine-readable index, but it is a tiny one — 1,778 characters on the date of the check. This is our own measurement of the file, not a claim by the tool. The file has been read in full; there is no information about platforms in it.
Which platforms it works with
Teachable is not intended for publishing posts to social networks, and the list shows it.
In the app catalogue, in the section "Sales & Conversions", exactly five entries are connected with social networks: Linktree, Pinterst Ads, TikTok Pixel, Meta Pixel, Linkedin Insight Tag. The spelling is kept as on the page, including the typo "Pinterst Ads".
This list has to be read correctly. Four of the five are counters and advertising accounts: the TikTok and Meta pixels, the LinkedIn Insight tag, Pinterest advertising. They are needed to measure the return from advertising and to set it up, not to put posts out. The fifth, Linktree, is a service for links from a profile. In other words, social networks are present here on the side of attracting buyers, not on the side of publishing.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is announced — the Teachable Affiliate Program, the account is kept on the PartnerStack platform (programme page). The address /affiliates redirects to the homepage, /affiliate and /affiliate-program return 404 — there is one address in force.
The commission is 30% for every creator referred, recurring through the first year: a "recurring commission for the entire first year that creator is on Teachable". Beyond the first year no payments are announced. The page also gives an estimate of the average earnings of partners — the tool itself stipulates that this is an estimate and not an obligation, and it cannot be relied on as an expected income.
The lifetime of the click tag is 30 days (a "30-day cookie window").
Who is admitted is named: bloggers, teachers, industry experts, course consultants, review sites. Admission is by application, the review takes 2–3 working days. Questions go to affiliates@teachable.com.
What it will not do
The tool does not undertake to publish posts to social networks: in its app catalogue social networks are represented only by pixels, advertising accounts and a service for links from a profile. There is not a single connection there for putting posts out.
The programme will not pay for a client longer than a year: the recurring credits are announced for the first year of the referred creator's work, beyond that — nothing.
The click tag will not be able to catch a visitor who makes up their mind later than 30 days on: the window is exactly that.
- The minimum sum for a payout is not named.
- The payout methods are not named; the programme is run on PartnerStack, that is, withdrawal is set up there.
- A separate document with the terms of the programme is not on the page.
