BotHelp
Tool · this deep dive is built from the official pages of the platform itself and of the tools that support it.
Overview
BotHelp is a builder of bots and mailings in messengers. The self-description from the home page: "Powerful marketing tool to build a Messenger bot, broadcast messages and automate sales. Acquire customers and generate more leads via Facebook Messenger". That is the tool's own claim about itself.
Note the discrepancy within the home page itself: in the self-description one channel is named — Facebook Messenger — while a line below on the same page the tool lists five. The first phrase is worth reading as an advertising headline, not as a list of capabilities.
Four language versions are declared: en, es, pt, ru. The markup of the home page is en. The affiliate part, meanwhile, is in roubles and is designed for a Russian formalisation of the relations, on which see below.
Which platforms it works with
The list is set on the home page by the verbatim wording «We support WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and Viber». Five channels:
- Facebook Messenger
- Telegram
- Viber
Three of the five are marked with an asterisk on the site — that is the tool's footnote about Meta, and it relates to WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger.
Separately about VKontakte: the name of the platform does occur on the page, but outside the "We support" list. This is exactly the case where a mention and declared support are different things. We have no grounds for counting VKontakte as a confirmed channel, and still less for counting it as unsupported.
All five confirmed channels are messengers and direct messages, not feeds. About publishing posts to social networks the tool says nothing on the home page.
How you earn with it
An affiliate programme is announced and is arranged unusually: the tool calls it "two affiliate programmes in one" — the wording is in Russian and the translation is ours — separately for the BotHelp platform and separately for the GetPlatinum payment gateway. The partner's dashboard lives on the subdomain partner.bothelp.io.
There are two rates. Up to 35 % of the payments of the customers attracted for a BotHelp subscription and 20 % of the net commission of the GetPlatinum payment gateway. The wording "up to 35 %" is repeated in the questions section too: "Partners receive up to 35 % commission on the top-ups of the accounts of the customers they attract" — the quotation is in Russian and the translation is ours. The word "up to" here belongs to the tool — what reaching the upper boundary depends on the page does not disclose.
The accruals are recurring. "Receive up to 35 % on every payment by the customer you brought in" — including repeat payments; the quotation is in Russian and the translation is ours. The term for which a customer is attached to a partner is expressly not limited: neither twelve months, nor a year, nor any other limit is on the page.
How a customer is counted. By two routes: a click on the referral link or registration through the partner's dashboard. The mechanism of accounting, thus, exists and is described, but the lifetime of the click tag — how many days the link stays in force — is not named. What is named, though, is a hard consequence: if the customer registered otherwise than through the link, the commission is not paid.
The payout threshold is a double one. A minimum sum of 3,000 roubles, and in addition at least three customers attracted with licences connected. There is also a period of validity of the commission: it is available for payout within three months from the moment of accrual.
How they pay. For sole traders and limited liability companies — to a settlement account against a signed act. For the self-employed — to a card through the Solar Staff service. The rhythm of settlements: a request by the last day of the month, the payout in the first days of the next. The formalisation, as one can see, is Russian — the partner needs the status of a sole trader, a limited liability company or a self-employed person.
Who is invited. Marketers, producers, methodologists, technical specialists, online schools, bloggers, agencies. Registration of a partner account is needed. Registering your own accounts through your own link is forbidden by the terms of the offer. The contact for questions is partners@bothelp.io.
Where the terms are. There is no full partner agreement in open access: according to the tool, the document lies in the partner's personal dashboard. Publicly open is only the help centre section. Reading the contract before joining the programme, thus, will not work.
What it will not do
It will not pay a natural person without a status. The methods of payout named presuppose a sole trader, a limited liability company or self-employment; the page offers no other options.
It will not pay for one customer. Even with 3,000 roubles accumulated, three people attracted with licences connected are needed — the conditions apply together.
It will not keep the commission for ever. What has been accrued has to be collected within three months.
It will not count a customer who came past the link. It is said outright: without a click on the referral link or registration through the dashboard there will be no commission.
It will not show the contract before joining. The full agreement is not published publicly.
The lifetime of the click tag is not named — but the programme does have accounting of clicks, it is simply that its duration is not disclosed; these are different things.
